NSP Laundry Detergent
Nature's Sunshine Products now carries Laundry Soap (50 oz) Stock #1561-5 for $10.95 Member Cost. I bought a couple of sample bottles and tried it in all my loads of laundry (clothes, sheets & towels). I didn't really think I'd care for it because it has no odor and I love the fresh clean smell of Downey. Also, a lot of times natural products really don't clean as well as they advertise. I was wrong in this case. I should probably point out I used no other additives, except Chlorox with the whites. Even the clothes I air dry and partially dry (including blue jeans) were softer and fresh smelling. I normally use extra Downey so they don't feel quite so stiff. As for the sheets, my husband asked me if I washed them in something different because they felt softer than usual. Imagine my surprise because he doesn't notice anything. I'm also wondering if the NSP product would cut down on residue build up in my washer. I could run less loads of vinegar and baking soda to clean it out!
So, I got to thinking, "That's a lot of money to spend for a natural product laundry detergent," but it really isn't. If I don't buy Downey anymore, I'll save that expense. The 50 oz will last for 50 loads in a front load washer (1 oz per load for front load and 2 oz per load for top load). I'll end up saving several dollars on laundry liquids. Hopefully this new product will catch on and NSP will sell it in larger quantities.
My next "test" will be the rest of their new line of cleaning products... dishwash detergent & liquid, surface cleaners, etc.
